PUTTING GREENS

Q  Can a synthetic putting green be sculptured with breaks and undulations?
Yes, It can be made to look just like real grass tour greens.

Q  What size or shape can the putting green be?
Just about any size or shape you want can be constructed.

Q  Can I chip onto my putting green?
A  Yes, our special shock absorbing backing, coupled with the spring action, interlocking fibers makes our surface "check up" similar to real grass greens.  Please keep in mind that no synthetic putting surface will hold a ball exactly like a real tour green and don't let anyone tell you differently. Our greens are as close as it gets to real grass greens.

On large custom greens will the seams split apart over time?
A  A seam can split apart if it's not joined propertly. That's why it's important that you use an authorized, Mirage Putting Greens installer that has been trained and has experience on large seam applications.

Q  Is Mirage Turf the same style synthetic turf that you see installed on miniature Putt-Putt courses?
A  No, absolutely not!  Miniature golf turf is usually installed as a glue down over concrete and the turf fibers are short and not very dense. The material used is typically very inexpensive and made of split film fiber filaments.  They putt very fast and the turf does not last very long.

Q  Will the turf fade in the sun?
A  No, all of our turf fibers have been UV treated in the manufacturing process.  All of our turf is covered under our manufacturer's warranty for fading.

Can anyone install Mirage Putting Green Turf?
No, only Certified and Trained Independent Mirage Dealers can install the Mirage Turf System.

TURF GRASS

Q  How is LazyLawn Turf different from other synthetic turf?
A  Our turf fibers have been manufactured to resemble real grass.  Our turf fibers have been texturized and spring-set to help prevent "matting" over time. The fiber component consists of UV protected "polyethylene," which is the softest fiber component in the industry. LazyLawn turf only requires a small amount of sand in-fill to stabilize the root of the fiber and weigh down the turf.

Q  How does the LazyLawn Turf hold up in an outdoor environment?
A  Our turf is assembled using the finest UV treated polyethylene, water resistant fibers. Our LazyLawn turf carries a limited warranty against excessive wear and fading and resists normal rain, snow, wind, freezing and sunshine.  Our synthetic turf has been installed in the cold climates of Canada and the hot deserts of Arizona and Las Vegas.

Q  Is the Mirage LazyLawn Turf maintenance free?
A  Our LazyLawn Turf is "hassle-free".  LazyLawn Turf is as maintenance free as it gets.  Once installed, just minimize the leaves, debris and doggie-do on the surface, just like you would with your real grass lawn.

Q  What's the advantage over real grass?
Real grass lawns require the installation of expensive irrigation systems as well as weekly maintenance costs such as mowing, watering, fertilizing, thatching, weeding, edging, chemical pesticide applications, and winter over-seeding if you live in a cold climate.  Once you recover the initial expense of installing your LazyLawn you will save thousands of dollars yearly on all of the maintenance and watering.

Q  Can LazyLawn Turf be sculptured around walkways, pools, plants or trees?
A  Yes, just like read sod grass.

Q  In what size or shape can the LazyLawn be constructed?
A  With a professional installation just about any size or shape can be constructed.

Q  Can you walk on the LazyLawn Turf?
A  Yes, our special shock absorbing backing, coupled with the spring action, texturized fiber, makes our LazyLawn surface as resilient as real grass.

Q  Is the LazyLawn Turf the same indoor/outdoor turf as what you see installed on some patios?
A  No, absolutely not.  Indoor/outdoor turf is usually installed as a glue down on a cement pad and the fibers are short and not very dense. This style of turf grass does not look very realistic, it is very shiny and it does not last very long in hostile climates.

Q  What if weeds grow up through the LazyLawn Turf?
Typically, weeds that you see pop up in the turf have germinated from the top.  Weed spores that float through the air and land on the turf can germinate in the sand fill from time to time.  Rarely will a weed grow from underneath the turf as there is no sunshine and little water getting to the seed.  Weeds that do germinate in the sand or at the edge of the turf are easily pulled.

Q  Can anyone install the LazyLawn Turf System?
A  No, only certified and trained dealers can install the LazyLawn Turf System.
